we did rock the night!

for those who don’t know, pancake is originally dutch’s ‘pannekoeken’. i tried the original sweet pannekoeken. and was so surprised by the giant dish, as in TREMENDOUSLY BIG. haha. the pancake tasted very good, very soft, chewy, and sweet. perfect! but the fact that it was served in a super size failed me to finish it. i didn’t prepare myself enough spaces in my tummy. and maybe i wasn’t physchologically prepared for that size. haha. but it is undeniably delicious. i should stop by again someday after skipping my breakfast and lunch. i promise. haha.

p.s. nutella is the greatest innovation i reckon! hahaha..

see the complete collection in bonjourmouncoussin (they have cute bags too!). will manage the budget to purchase those sweeties someday when i’m no longer a student, and earn some money. maybe saving pocket money might work, but don’t believe me when i say “i’ll save money”. i’m never good at saving money yet still hopelessly working on it.

coping with matlab this full day and yesterday, and this whole week ahead makes me a little bit crazy and dizzy, literally. but no worry because the assessment is 100% coursework. woohoo! i can’t imagine myself in a matlab examination room, a problem sheet, in front of computer, more or less 3 hours, and nobody i can ask for help. that’s indeed my doom’s day. haha. anyway, I think I miss writing little letters. it’s been awhile and i currently have several things pop in my mind. i know you wouldn’t mind.

this is a good point about London. you won’t get enough list of interesting places to visit. London can never bore me. haha. but please be aware, it results in sudden bankruptcy at the same time, which becomes the bad point. and South Kensington is one of my favourite place because it has everything to please my hard-to-satisfy-tummy. boyfriend, as a local says that South Kensington is probably the France of London. and I get even more excited. haha.

p.s. oh well, I got my Schengen visa already. I’ll be in Holland and nearby this spring break to visit my aunt and her family. probably what i’m looking forward to about next month, although I have a lot of essays’ hand ins before holiday. eerrr.

I found tumblr is very nice for short posts (interesting pictures, quotes, music). so there I created an account. For the flickr, yes I made a new one because I kinda need spaces for my so-called artworks of photography and travel junks, rather than my face in all pictures as in the old flickr account. haha. the old flickr is account is still available though. anyway, I’d love to put all the links more excitingly (interesting logo) in this blog and re-decorate this blog but my private web-designer is very busy with his college stuffs right now. and this web designing thingy is not my cup of tea. and I won’t bother to learn any further (knowing the fact that MATLAB doesn’t make me any better. enough is enough). so I better be patient.

those four pictures are taken in an indian restaurant somewhere around selly oak. then we move to goose for some drinks.

my days of fulfilling master degree will be so boring without them. unfortunately, this term is only for optional modules. a lot of time we are in different class. but never mind, we can always arrange time to do some fun either during the class break or anytime we are free. next dinner is at amelie’s house I reckon.

If I were asked about who is my most favourite, I think i’d go for Van Gogh. He is originally Dutch, but spend some of his lifetime working in Paris, France. I love his paintings though I haven’t seen all the collections. But for sure, the colours of his paintings are so beautiful. I’d really love to see all of his collections that I’m after the Van Gogh’s Exhibition in Royal Academy of Arts, London on my next visit to London (still a month to go. ah!). maybe I need to study about his paintings and biography before my visit. very keen on it!

Oh well, his masterpieces are Sunflowers, Starry Night, Irises and The Potato Eaters.

The trip overall was fabulous. I got a lot of new stories about the Cambridge (besides it is rival to Oxford. haha!). what amused me the most are probably the university colleges. Those had been built long time ago. The most famous are the King’s College, Queen’s College, Trinity College, Saint John’s College. There are of course many more colleges. And those colleges have their own characteristic and prestige. Still remember the Harry Potter’s story of student colleges. haha! hmm, I guess river punting is the best of the trip. My eyes were spoiled by beautiful sceneries and the stories behind fascinate me. Oh awesome Cambridge!
