The cake shop in the Covered Market

You just have no idea how happy I was when I discovered this place, the cake shop, while strolling along the Covered Market in Oxford. It suddenly caught my eyes. and just like magnets, I was attracted to move closer. All the beautiful and unique creatures are beyond amazing.  This is something famous in Oxford, I guess. From the see-through glass we can directly see how the cakes were made and decorated. darlings!

and below are displays of some of their cakes…

Eventhough I’m a sweets-monster, I know that i’ll feel myself guilty after eating them as I destroy the lovely textures. aren’t they loveliesss? Well, there is like a graduation cake as well, as a gift to our friends who are just graduated. I want cakes instead of flowers too for my graduation someday! haha.

wishes list

i know it’s still 2 months prior to my birthday. haha. just in case you want to surprise me with your gift. well, a little list below will do great. haha. i won’t ask for better, i’m serious!

well, i should warn you before for the likelihood of posts flooding due to my plenty of free time. i miss this blog way too much. i miss writing and sharing anything i likeeee. so, beware! read at your own risk. haha.

Patisserie Valerie

i guess i don’t have to tell you (again) that i’m a sugar fan. cake, chocolate, candies, name it! it is a kind of satisfaction to be able to taste new kind of sugary stuffs, and a nice place to eat in. you need a company? count me in!

Patisserie Valerie, my newest favourite, is a perfect place to indulge myself. i love the place. i love the cakes. the first time i stopped by was in Stratford upon avon. i tried the coffee eclair and it brought me to heaven. and the second time, i stopped by the shop in Oxford for the tart aux fraises. it was beyond great. i’d like to go again. well, the shops are spread out in most big cities in the country. seriously, it becomes an addiction!

someday, i really want to have a cake shop or coffee shop my own. it would be really niceee.

Orla Kiely AW/10

i have to say that orla kiely is such a big inspiration to me. i love her entire collections, seriously. and the Autum Winter 2010 collections are something to keep my eyes on. i just took some collections i’m head-over-heels-in-love-with from the website.

should wait for the next sale. haha. last summer sale i managed to buy the stem print sling bag which was on 50% discount. that was probably the best purchase i did last summer (in fact, that’s the only thing i bought for me last summer).

relieved!

(drumroll backsound)

i’ve finally submitted my report! it’s now a wrap! woohooo. maybe the result will be out next month. ok, i know my work it’s not a perfect one. but i did try my best, as best as i could. so, nothing to lose. God will do the rest. however the mark is, i know i deserve that. that’s my portion. just keep on praying and believing.

the pictures were taken last Sunday after church. amazing preach it was. i know it wasn’t by coincidence that the preach fitted my recent life very well. He wanted to  speak to me and strengthen my soul. well, life is full of uncertainties, but why so worry if we stand on a firm foundation?! God is the firm foundation. stand on Him :)

i’m enjoying my free days as much i can now. will apply for part time job within next week(s)!
