my awesome new friend.

Well well well, I know it has been a long pause since I last added post. It’s merely due to the lack of connection and also lack of time since I dedicate most of my time to enjoy home to the fullest. Spending time with family, indulging myself with local heavenly food (which apparently led to the discovery that hot chilli food is longer my bestfriend. I swear, we were back then!), visiting memorable places, reminiscing the good old days, meeting friends and relatives, strolling the city, etc etc..

anywayss, as I owe you a lot of stories (I promise I’ll catch up little by little), let me start by introducing you to my new friend, lomo lc-a! I guess my craze for it has appeared in this blog too many times before. A little bit overexposed, I might say. It was a birthday gift, thanks to my special someone. At first I completely had  no idea on how to operate this camera and stuff. Excited yet bewildered. Mine was not equipped with instant back +, anyway. So it is unable to print images right away or instantly. Instead, I’m up to conventional way of taking pictures, just how the common analog camera works with film roll. But trust me, it is utterly fun just the way it is!

As I finished the film roll, I took it to a counter where it can develop pictures. I thought, because it was my very first attempt, the pictures wouldn’t be great. And to be frank, I was fine if that so. Maybe I still made mistakes here and there. However, to my amazements, the resulted pictures were actually not bad. I should say great for first attempt. Well okay, some of them were still bad (too dark, blur, etc) but they didn’t matter the most I suppose. I’m really happy!

(my sister’s grad. i’m so proud of her!)

I swear I wanna be good at this thing. It is sure so much fun. You know.. just play a little bit, attach to the excitements and enjoy the surprise it gives later.

home sweet home..

hiiii, it’s me back agaiiinnn!

I have been looking forward to writing something but unfortunately the sluggish internet connection at home is too much for a disaster. well, did I mention home?? exactly! I’m currently on a back-home-holiday. Seriously it is a whole long story to share about this snap decision to travel home for a month. In fact, it was  as only a week before the departure that we (me and boyfriend) decided to book tickets. And to our luck, we got the cheap tickets ones. So, we’re meant to be home nowww.

Despite the excitements, the travel-back-home preparations almost took my head. So it was monday afternoon that I booked (and bought) the ticket, wednesday to friday we went for a roadtrip to cornwall (will post later), and the flight schedule were on Sunday afternoon. I have lots of things to sort out before leaving. Well, buying gifts to friends and relatives, packing my luggage, cleaning my room, housing stuffs, managing some documents stuff, and graduation itineraries. One crazy week, I tell you. But I thank God everything was on track and well-sorted eventhough I was a little swamped! So, I flew back home happily and safely. Now, I’m home, with my sister and brother (parents are coming this evening, too). Woo! I’ll be here for approximately a month and if the plan goes straight, I’ll be returning to the UK in November. Sure I’m gonna cherish the family gathering moments during my stay here.

This post will be left with no picture. Uploading pictures with this ‘fast’ internet connection (obviously in sarcastic manner) will take decades. I’m not so patient when it comes to sluggish connections, or generally sluggish anything, you know what I mean. I’ll sneak to different places with  better internet connection, if I can get one.

So, it’s Monday! Have a good week ahead. talk to you later.. :)

quick hello from cornwall

Sorry, for my couple days of absence. I’m now having a roadtrip holiday to Cornwall with my friends. It’s so lovely and picturesque here. The happiest thing is, I finally got chance to see sea/coast/beach or whatever you name it here in England (not my kind of holiday especially here, quite frankly!) catch you later with bunch of stories and pictures.

Anyway, I’ve finally decided the camera. Canon EOS 550d , it is (which the pictures above were taken with)! see ya.

Another chapter done. Thank God.

A year ago, I moved from my comfort zone, dared taking the challenge to pursue master in the UK. It wasn’t an easy one to decide, honestly. So I arrived here with a lot of quizzical thoughts in mind. I only kept the faith that if He let things happen to me, He would help me through them. And thank God I’m surrounded by inspiring and encouraging people (especially my dad, mom and boyfriend) who are just naturally positive. Their support simply made me have no single hesitation to take that big step.

Now, a year has passed by (very fast!), and all those quizzical thoughts have faded away. I enjoyed the journey to the fullest. Sometimes, things were easy, and yet sometimes they were difficult. But after all, I’m here, I’m still alive, I’m even happier than ever, I’m stronger than before, I survive, I’m valued by many kinds of experiences. This one year time of learning has taught me so many things beyond my imagination. I can’t be more thankful for the opportunity, especially to Him, the Almighty.

Exactly yesterday, I wrapped this master study and was blessed for the new title, M.Sc. I’m genuinely happy with the result. I know that I deserved that mark, not more nor less. I did work hard for this but I humbly acknowledge that it’s all by His grace that I could get it. So, thank God for helping me with anything. He never fails me, not even once. Sometimes, the journey was tough. It was not the way I wanted it to be, many times. But I’m lucky enough to realise that in the end I always get what I need. Thank you, Lord : ) We’ll see what life will offer next. Get ready with the new adventure! haha.

Anyway, I remember one message in a Sunday service I attended “We don’t need our life to be all-sorted, we just need to be committed to the journey!” I hope that quote inspires and strengthens anyone who reads this post.

p.s. my sister also accomplished her bachelor degree at the same time as I got my master. Congratulations to her!

HELLO AUTUMN!

Autumn is here! It has been raining every now and then. I can hardly leave house without an umbrella. I think I love autumn, for one and many reasons. Firstly, the weather is fairly warmer than winter (around 12 C, although this year I feel it colder, to be frank) so I can still play with my outfit and dressing-up thingy. I love autumn outfits! Secondly, autumn is the season for winter-shopping which gets me really excited! haha. Thirdly, christmas is so near (although halloween is nearer, I’m not a halloween person). The joy vibe of christmas, it is! Christmas market here and there, christmas decorations, christmas songs everywhere. Ok, I’m actually a little kid at heart. I always count how many days left until next christmas, exactly after it leaves. haha.

If everything goes well, I’m up to autumn holiday next month! woohoo. Still preparing for things now, so I’ll come back more on this later!
