shoes story

image is taken from here.

I love shoes just like any girls. Flat shoes are always my comfort zone, my guilty pleasure and I can’t get enough with. ever! Varina, as seen in the picture, is probably the perfect model of flat shoes for me. I love love love love love it! However, as well as with food, I think I need to be more adventurous with shoes. Quite recently I have managed to slightly move from my comfort zone by wearing shoes with short heels or wedges just to become more adventurous. Be it flat shoes, wedges, heels, boots, sneakers, etc etc, one must really feel comfortable while wearing it. Put on a nice and comfortable pair of shoes is what us girls need to complete our look.

meet my aladdin trousers

They are pictures taken just this afternoon  after church. sooo, as it turned out, I broke the shopping ban to that pair of trousers in the picture. Ok, I’m bad but I don’t feel bad, honestly. hahaha. I love it. Hope I don’t look weird, anyway (boyfriend said I look weird but guess I’m too stubborn this time that I can’t simply let go that pair of trousers).

I’m going to travel to Bristol and Northern Ireland (Belfast) this coming tuesday with neni. yayy!

Had some fun at an art gallery

Just today, my friend (call her Neni) and I happened to visit Wolverhampton, a town nearby Birmingham. She just submitted her thesis yesterday. So this visit was a sort of celebratory for her. haha. We actually intended to visit two patisseries. However, one of them was not even found on the map of Wolverhampton (although neni was quite sure that she read a magazine mentioned this place called “Drucker’s Vienna Patisserie” is in Wolverhampton), and the other one called “Madame Clarke’s” actually existed. It is famous for the homemade cakes. And with the “homemade” title, I’m enough tempted to have a try. But just our luck that by the time we arrived at Madame Clarke’s, almost all the cakes were sold out.  Thank God Patisserie Valerie was there so we could have a sit and chat for quite some time. The trip was fun! We didn’t visit lots of places, honestly. But our one and only place to visit, the Wolverhampton Art Gallery, really rocked my day. Pictures below are proof of our madness in a good way.

our own creation! hahahaha.

We had tons of fun there! how on earth we can ever blow off the existence of nice costumes, a camera, and ‘playground’? we just couldn’t help ourselves but turning that opportunity into something we consider as fun. took pictures and played around!

looking for a part time job

I was apparently a busy bee last week. I could barely breath. haha. But that was fun. Meeting up with classmates, friends who are about to leave England, old friend who is about to move in to Birmingham so I take her around the city and company her finding accommodation and all those stuffs. Now, I’m having a little bit of internet spree (for a while). woohoo! As a person who doesn’t like blog-post without pictures (which is why I try as much as I can to attach related pictures in every post), it’s such a shame I don’t have pictures to share for now. So I hope a picture of me above is more than enough. haha. Boyfriend says I’m too skinny now. Well, typical boys. They don’t know how skinny is actually skinny to girls if you know what I mean.

Anyways, I need a job. I really do. I feel like I wanna stamp “Need a job, hire me!” on my forehead so everywhere I go, people will notice and perhaps give me a job. Of course I’m not that desperate. haha. but seriously, I mean it. I want to work. Part-time one, pleaseeee. Well, if there’s no such work regulation for international citizen thingy I would really love to get a permanent job. It’s a really long story to share here. But in short, I can only get a permanent job if I have the visa either sponsored by a certain company or I myself provide it. Finger crossed there is a company who would please to sponsor my visa. I don’t like to be the pessimist one but let’s just get real. Seeing the recent global economic condition, there is less company who sponsors visa for their employees (some oil and gas companies do, but that isn’t my field). So, eventhough I will still apply for both part time and permanent jobs, I don’t put too high expectations to get the permanent one in at least 3 months due to that reason. Well, thank God if I can soon get one (who knowssss?) But, for sure I need a part time job very soon. Hopefully I’ll get one. I’ve sent my applications to 5 companies so far and will keep applying until I get one. Well, let’s keep the positive spirit high! Strive for our dreams till the end!

p.s. i’m currently on a shopping ban. only heaven knows how long it will last. shopping (clothes and shoes in particular) is the second biggest temptation for me (food is the first). you know how hard it is.

p.p.s i think i’ve been rambling so much! sorry. hahaha. see you soon!
