Thank God it was a sunny day although sunny doesn’t mean hot or warm as I wish. You should never rely on the British’s wind, trust me. It was a relentlessly windy day, to be exact. Well, at least we got some good pictures with the sunshine. A good dayy with my best friend here, Selin.

We were wandering along the Portobello Road with no particular will to shop, only to see the famous portobello road. I quite liked the place with lots of antique stores, by the way. But the thing was, none of us had taken anything to eat since the morning. We arrived on the Portobello Road at 1 ish, anddd we could scarcely find a good place to eat as we expected there would be loads of food stalls there (camden market is the heaven of food i guess!). Big no. Hence, we just ended up buying something from a coffee shop, she had sandwich and coffee while I had triple chocolate muffin and nutella hot chocolate. The nutella hot chocolate was really good, anyway, yet still we wanted something biggggg for lunch. Well, that’s all about Portobello Road. But I really enjoyed the colourful stacks of building which were something to please my eyes! So, enough with the Portobello Road we headed off to Buckingham Palace, had a good chilling out time in front of the statue with a scoop of ice cream for each of us. That was good. The ice cream and the chit chat time, indeed a chilly moment (literally chilly as the wind hit by couple of times). Then we walked from the Buckingham Palace to London eye, crossing a park behind the Palace (I don’t exactly know the name. no it wasn’t Green Park) and following the crowd. Many tourists, including us. hahaha. Arrived at the London eye area, I was so hungryyy and thank God there was Mc Donald’s cafe over there. Oh, THANK GOODD! I impulsively bought chicken nuggets and fries both in large. Thereafter, we just sat by the Thames River watching people passed by and magicians performed. It was already 6 pm i guess, almost time to get home. So to top off the journey we went to the tower of London and took pictures with London Bridge as the background then travelled back to Euston station to catch the train back to Birmingham. We were truly becoming tourists that day. It wasn’t actually my first time visiting those places i mentioned. But I’m quite impressed that I really enjoyed the day whilst trying to recall the excitements when first visiting London. I love London.

I’m so sad Selin is going back to Turkey by next month. huaaaaa. She’s my best friend here. People are leaving one by one and I’m left here. It feels like it’s only yesterday we all got to know each other. I accidentally lose my memory that a year has passed. Well, all in all we had great time here. And there’s always facebook (haha) to keep us in touch with others. I actually wanted to go to Istanbul in near future that I checked the flights and everything, and gobsmacked by the high price if I want to travel in near future. It isn’t an idea to empty my saving account while i’m currently jobless (yes, that word really fits me. haha!) I’m going to find a job very soon and get one (amen!). let’s keep the optimism. So…. work, get paid, save some, then traveeelll. fingers crossed. Anyways, my best of the best luck goes to her and all my friends for their future :)
