if i’m broke now, it’s all because of polaroid films. they take all my money. haha, i smell white lies here. of course it isn’t the fault of polaroid film solely. but it’s true that i’m broke now. and it’s also true that i can’t seem to afford the film price nowadays. well, since the company discontinued the production of polaroid 600 camera and film, it has been really difficult to get the stock up of polaroid 600 films. i usually bid on ebay from people who did stock up, and some of them have expired. i just can’t believe how they put the price that high now! i still remember few months back the price was still okay. now, it’s just too exaggerating. but the thing is, i love polaroid. i can’t give up on it. sort of…obsessed!

good news, the polaroid company produces this polaroid 300 instant camera. if you see it carefully, it’s very similar to fuji instax instant camera. well, the rumour has it that this product is actually the rebranded Fujifilm, from the source i read. i want one. i just can’t get enough of this thing: instant camera. there are also other options, the lomo lc-a back instant+ is a good one but for me, it is really pricey! some lomo cameras have additional equipment that make them act as instant cameras. my sister has been lusting over mini diana with flash and additional polaroid equipment. a lot of people now have fuji instax instant camera. see? instant cameras are much loved now. well, i know we can snap pictures with digital modern cameras and later do some photoshops or editing to give a little bit vintage touch as we wish. but, using the instant camera directly is something different, something classy, something sensational and extremely fun! me, i still love my polaroid 600 film to bits. i just wish they continue the production or however reduce the price for the films. so i can afford it! haha.
looks like i’m campaigning for instant cameras. haha.
as written, ‘finally’! i’ve been really interested in going to this city since months ago and yet there have been so many obstacles that put me back from visiting this city. but i finally made it last Saturday, only for a daytrip. why was i that interested in this city? i don’t know either. obviously i’m not a fan of Shakespeare thingy (which this city is famous of), maybe just because it’s famous for it’s traditional atmosphere (and i’m a sucker to that kind of thing). it’s only an hour by train from Birmingham. and the ticket fare is really student friendly (about £5 return with young personal railcard). great deal, isn’t it?
i was going with a friend of mine, Emy. as we’re not that into Shakespeare or any literature stuffy, we decided not to push ourselves to buy the entrance ticket to Shakespeare houses and birthplace. a bit costly, to be frank. and we’re afraid that we would get lost if you know what i mean. so, walking around and exploring the city as a whole were taken as a good decision. indeed good! we found quite some unique things along the way.

Book bargain deal. I shared with my friend for the 7 for 4 deal! that’s crazy! we paid £12 for those 7 books! that was just crazy. i grabbed some from Sophie Kinsella and Enid Blyton. haha.

A beautiful river, surrounded by park. very refreshing.

A town square just nearby the river still inside the park.

A lot of ice cream booths (i just pictured one) by the riverside. the ice cream tasted heavenly!

vintage style shops along the street of city centre. beauty!

a teddy bear house! you’ll find a lot of teddy bears inside, and some dolls as well. i didn’t buy teddy bear doll but a bought a set of russian dolls (5 pieces) or better known as matrioshka! i’m happy.
so, that’s the wrap up of our tour or my finally-accomplished trip. haha. i love Stratford upon avon to bits!

i stopped by a very yummy ice cream booth by the river. and that’s mint vanilla ice cream i’m holding. i was indeed a happy kid that time.

and i kissed a giant teddy bear in front of a teddy bear shop. people passed by and giggled. they thought i was crazy. i guess i am.
today is a good day to celebrate! the sunshine was just great. and there’s always camera to capture good moments. these are our experiments, using self timer. gotcha!

how’s your saturday? are you watching world cup match? England vs USA football now on TV. support England!! frankly, i’m an alien when it comes to football or world cup discussion. but i’m supporting England all the wayyy! hahaha. just try to a little bit involve in the world cup euphoria. Go England! haha.

so, you knew already that the exams have finished! yes relieved, regardless the marks (hope everything goes well). and i’m currently having a break before the research project. i think i said something about beach vacation some earlier posts. it was cancelled, i tell you. some of us couldn’t make it. and the weather itself makes me losing my appetite. rain every now and then. and to make things worse, it started to go mad right after i finished exam. i don’t know, maybe the weather hates me. no such way to enjoy sunny days.part of me just want to cry because i want holiday! desperately! and i keep moaning, grumbling, and blabbering. i loathe the weather.
