Winter Wonderland

I am so so so about Christmas celebration here. Thrilled! hahaha.. Christmas songs are in my top tunes right now. I keep listening to those songs over and over again. While i was searching for christmas songs from YouTube, I found this song. winter wonderland -by Jason Mraz. and i likeee it! hehehe.. let me share the video here.

Oh yes, another thing I’m also excited about : the real winter wonderland in Hyde Park, London. I really can’t wait. check out the official website here. I will surely be there. Christmas season, happy season! Not to mention I have scary season right after christmas holiday. Exam period, oh dear! I really think I have to start studying and doing two of my 6000 essays from now on so I can enjoy my Christmas Holiday a little bit. But to be honest, it’s just so difficult to collect the urge to study when you know the deadline is still two months later. I am a truly deadline person. but no matter what, enjoy Christmas! hahaha..

frankfurt christmas market

I was seriously working my ass off last week. Class from 9 am – 6 pm, deadlines of coursework, and presentation on friday. It was slightly stressful. I couldn’t breathe.  But I thank God I’m still alive. The presentation was well-done. Happy ending! hahaha.. though i at first doubted that we could succeed it. Thank God again, we did.

And the best of all, I had a wonderful weekend! Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market. It was awesome. I just love love love it. hehe.. Went there with my friends after we had Sunday Mass at Christian Life Centre. Crowded, it was. but no big deal. merry happy! good food, good games, good merchandises, good time. this is one of the best thing about living abroad, particularly west countries (UK, EU, US): awesome Christmas celebration. I love Christmas time.

I will definitely go there agaiiiinnn. my playground! hahaha. (I wish my mom, dad, sister, and brother were here so we could celebrate christmas together. well my sister and brother will be here sooner! :) ) anyway, I have committed to work hard, and play hard too (pray even harder hehe..) life is all about balance. therefore, weekend is my time to play around and do some fun. since I do not like party-ing, hanging around the city centre, shopping, having good food, travelling to other towns or city taking pictures, good chats, good games are enough. but the rest of weekdays, I have to work very very hard. hehhee..

i can’t hardly face next week

okay, this weekend i went to London. we  (my and boyfriend) have made such an agreement that our meeting is every two weeks. and this is my turn to visit him in London. as always, i’m very very excited to go to London, and also to meet boyfriend. hihihii.. meeting him gives me sort of feeling “i’m home”. hehe..

it was such a nice weekend that i wish i wouldn’t have to face next week. i have class everyday from 9 am to 6 pm. anddddd, assignments. colloid and rheology, please don’t kill me. my dearest Lord, please help me. well, i know He will. hehehe..

p.s. i can’t never get enough of London. sick of birmingham already :( so i come to consider finding a summer placement in a company in London for my research project. wish me lucky luck!! x)

struggling all the wayyyyy!

today, my classmate told me that he read my blog. hahaha. and he said, this blog is good! well, thx vinu. i really take that as a compliment. good job for us, bloggie :) anyway, i’m still here. still alive! (in case you’re wondering. unbelievable, heh?!). yes, days are getting busier. well, i’m not moaning, trust me. i really do enjoy my every days here, good or bad. cos i believe, as i pass it, i will miss it someday and keep it as a very very good memory.

sooo, i’ve mentioned about transferring major, haven’t i?! back to habituation. haha.. well, everybody was like “wooowww..” when knowing i am doing this oh-my-god-major! guys, you take it too seriously. really. i’m not a good role model of real engineer to be. i am far from good! (i even read looks magazine instead of chemical engineering magazine! pssstt) but yes, i will struggle and do my best (i wish). hahaha. it isn’t as easy as i predicted because i’ve got my bachelor on the same major. and surprisingly, we have to learn biology and pharmaceutical A LOT! with the fact i always avoided biology in high school, you can imagine how i messed up here!! people start to think that chemical engineers can be everything, even to be a doctor. well, that’s fine. i was just mad at first. haha. but not anymore. last friday me and my group did a presentation on tissue engineering and it ended up very very good. the teacher even said “excellent!”. it’s just so unbelievable that i called my mom just right after we did it to send this very good news. but still, i have to work even harder, don’t just stop there.

oh yes, the academic system here is different from Indonesia. we have six modules each semester. each modules will be done in just one week! a very very intensive week. but then, after two or three weeks, we are given free week called consolidation week. they expect us to catch up the course: re-read previous modules, do assignments on coursework or presentation, have a tutorial with teacher either individually or in group, prepare for the next modules. so, it isn’t really a holiday as i first expected i can travel somewhere during that week. no way! well, that’s all fine. i will just enjoy every little thing good or bad:)

speaking of holiday, my sister and brother are coming on this upcoming Christmas holiday. yayyyy! i really really can’t wait to see them and spending time with them on a special holiday….
